Both the new 2017 Kia Soul and Cadenza received Best Cars for Families awards from U.S. News and World Report. The consumer focused publication measured vehicles in terms of reliability, safety, seating capacity, cargo volume and available family-friendly features. The new Kia Soul was selected out of 20 different vehicles in the same class and the Kia Cadenza was chosen best from 11 competing vehicles.
The Kia Soul is now a second time winner of the Best Cars for Families award. Winning features include its UVO system, and convenient connectivity with Apple CarPlay™ or Android Auto™. The Soul was also chosen for its excellent ergonomics such as a comfortable ride height that makes it easy for children or people with limited mobility to get in.
Several luxury features on the new Kia Cadenza elevated it to award winning status. Special touches like rear sunshades that keep passengers shielded and cool during long drives on hot days were among those noted. Also equipped with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™as well as Kia’s UVO teen-driver controls, the Cadenza is also built with road safety in mind.
“We’re thrilled to receive these great awards,” said Orth Hedrick, vice president, product planning KMA, “because they speak to the effort we put into creating vehicles that families will love. It’s part of Kia’s global commitment to offer attractive, reliable and dynamic vehicles with tremendous value. Being awarded Best Cars for Families by U.S. News & World Report is testimony to those efforts and we couldn’t be more proud.”
