Meet The 2018 Kia Stinger

2018 Kia Stinger

What was once the Kia GT Concept model is now the all new 2018 Kia Stinger. This exquisite sportback model with seating for five passengers is the highest-performance production vehicle in Kia history. Designed in Frankfurt and developed on the Nürburgring, this exceptionally powerful car is poised to redefine the sports segment currently dominated by European automakers.

Multiple engine and drivetrain configurations will be available for the Stinger as well as a variety of upscale standard and available options. It is expected to go on sale in the U.S. this December. Its exterior design is sleek and muscular with a long hood and recessed contours along the doors. Its sportback silhouette is accentuated with large air intakes, a rear diffuser, oval exhaust pipes and of course, Kia’s signature tiger-nose grille positioned between LED headlamps.

When inside the new Stinger cabin, features that rival European luxury sport models make the driver and passenger feel pampered and relaxed. Leather appointed interior, deeply countered seats and a hand-stitched leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters make this new model like all others. Tasteful satin chrome trim embellishments and luxurious surface materials surround the driver and passengers for an elegant and extremely comfortable ride.

The 2018 Kia Stinger will be equipped with Kia’s advanced technology and many safety features. It will use Multiple Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) that work together to enhance the driving experience. Features such as Forward Collision Avoidance (FCA) with pedestrian detection, Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) and Blind Spot Collision Warning (BCW) systems are utilized place to help the driver maintain control of the vehicle and avoid potential collisions.

“Unlike any Kia that has come before it, the Stinger really is a dream car for us and after years of commitment and hard work from a passionate group of designers, engineers and executives around the world, that dream is now a reality,” said Orth Hedrick, vice president, product planning, Kia Motors America. “From its GT concept-car origins to the years of tuning and refining on the legendary Nürburgring circuit, no detail was too small to be obsessed over, and the result is simply stunning.”
